Chapter One
The absence.
Maison Metals began with an absence. The architectural metal we wanted to specify — solid, considered, with high-end finishes — had narrowed to two extremes: specialty custom priced beyond the projects that needed it, or the catalogue-grade sameness that quietly fills every other ceiling, façade and threshold. The middle had gone missing.

The house is built around the materials we kept reaching for and could not find at the standard we wanted. Each metal, drawn in the finishes a serious room calls for.

Chapter Two
We began.
So we set out to make it ourselves. A house built around the surfaces we kept wanting and couldn't find — the warmth of solid brass, the depth of bronze, the slow flush of copper, the quiet of woven mesh — drawn in the finishes a serious room actually calls for. After much searching for a partner who could meet that standard, we stopped looking and began the work ourselves.

Solid brass, bronze, copper and stainless — drawn from a hand-picked network of mills with a generations-long memory of metal.
Method
Hand-finishing and precision fabrication, executed by a small circle of metalsmiths held to a single standard.
Intent
Surfaces that age with grace — the material remembering its time in a room.
